Downloading/Logging In Questions

Q. I’m having trouble logging in by email/finding my access code, etc.

A. Try restarting the app and signing in again, check your spam folder, try using another email address to sign up and double-check that you have entered your email correctly. Sometimes it can take up to 30 minutes for the code to arrive in your email.

Q. Should I log in with Facebook, email or phone?

A. The app creates a unique account for every Facebook ID, phone number or email address you use to sign in. We suggest using the same login credentials to keep your points and progress saved.

Q. What does AP stand for?

A. Great question. AP = Action Points, our unique scoring unit for measuring your progress and recognizing your accomplishments!

Q. Help! I lost my points!

A. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: “Lost Points” and which app you are using, your name as it currently appears in the app and how many points you believe you lost and we will look into it.

Q. How can I get credits for donations I made outside the app/before the app was available?

A. Send your request to [email protected] and we will review on a case-by-case basis.

Q. I wasn’t awarded any points for donating, taking action, etc.

A. Most actions have a limit for how many times you can perform them for points. For instance, most campaigns only award points for the first action (i.e. signing a petition) or limit earning points for donations to the first three donations. You can ask a campaign what their limits are for various actions.

Q. On my iPhone, why do I see a blank screen when I try to invite my friends?

A. You can re-enable your address book under your iPhone Settings > Privacy > Contacts

Q. Why don’t I see Personalized Invites or Survey My Friends?

A. You need to click “Refresh my contacts” under Preferences and allow the app to search your phone for matched contacts. It may take the app several days to find matched contacts so check back from time to time. A future update will allow you to fill out a survey for anyone in your contacts, not just matched contacts.

Q. The app has my location wrong

A. Update and save your zipcode and restart the app.

Q. Why can’t I access Canvassing?

A. Not all campaigns have canvassing active in your area. Most campaigns will send an alert when canvassing has been enabled for your area.

Q. Why am I receiving an error message “Post limit reached”?

A. You can earn points for sharing messages up to 25 times per day.

Q. Why am I receiving an error message “Invite limit reached”?

A. You can earn points for inviting friends up to 25 times per day.

Q. A friend I invited accepted my invite, why have I not received credit?

A. Ask your friend to update their profile with the email address or phone number you used to invite them.

Q. Why can’t I access my Facebook friends via the app?

A. Facebook no longer allows apps like ours to see your Facebook contacts. You can post an invitation to your Facebook wall or copy the invite code and send it to your friends via your phone’s web browser or the Facebook app.

Q. Why does the app ask to access my photos/media?

A. We ask only so you can change your profile photo and post photos to the app. We never access photos/media without your permission.
